Watchmen FTW, and other things that happened today

Woot! I totally pre-ordered it off of Amazon. -._-.

Anywho, I watched it as soon as I beat the Post man down for it. [Ehehehe, not really.]

So anyways the best part of watching to movie on DVD was I got to fast forward through all the sex scenes. I mean its not that I don't like watching two people get it one after kicking ass I just would rather not watch it.

Anyways, my mom wanted me to let my little brother watch it with me and I told her 'No mom hes too little. Its rated R' so I finally got my brother to leave me alone after I showed him the dirty scenes . xD Im so devious

After I finally finished watching Wathchmen [Squee! Its so fun to say..or in this case type] My friend came over and we went to watch Secret Window. On the way back upstairs I got a HUGE splinter jammed underneath my index finger on my right hand. I didn't notice how big it was intill I pulled it out and blood started to pour down my finger. -shudder-
I made my grandma go by me a series of different bandaides. A case of Batman bandaides and a case of wild animal bandaides. Even though it stopped bleeding the bandaide just makes it feel a lot better. xD

Well isn't this just bananas?

I was searching the web the other day and I came across some information that I thought to be rather interesting.
There was a thing on Yahoo, that claims Humans have been opening bananas the wrong way for hundreds of years. You see, Humans tend to open the banana from the stem, and it seems to be really frustraing to pull and twist the stem and in the end the top of the banana is mushy. Who wants to eat a mushy banana anyways? So a team of hispanic researchers studied some monkeys and its turns on that the monkeys were opening bananas the right way for hundreds of years. Who knew?!
When monkeys open banana's they open it from the bottom . Crazy right? Wrong. Turns out that its much simpler to open bananas that way. After watching the video, I still didn't believe it and decided to test it myself. So, I took the banana and pinched the bottom like they did in the video and what do you know, it worked. It was much simpler and way faster. So from now on, I will be opening bananas that way just to save a moment or so. You should try it too and let me know how it works out. C;

Movie Review for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince [SPOILERS]

After successfully sitting through this movie twice [YES, twice.] I have prepared a well thought review from a true Potterite. So, lets the truth reveal itself.
Alright, where should I even begin? Lets start by saying things that were good about it.
For starters, the graphics and costumes were well put together as for the set, I do not see the point in changing the set every movie. Not drastically, but nonetheless it has been changed in one way or another. As well as props...well they were changed a bit too but still blended in just the same.
The movie was great for someone who had not read the book, but for me it lacked a lot of things. This is the part where I start complaining like a three year old, if you don't want to hear it-- or in this case read it, push the back button.
The beginning of the movie was WAY different to the book. In the book we see young Harry looking over a letter Dumbledore had sent saying that he was coming for Harry at the Dursley's home. In the movie we see Harry at a cafe in the subway station, flirting with the cute waitress when Dumbledore appears across the way beckoning Harry to come and join him.
Throw the next scene or so everything follows suit with the book, Mr.Yates even threw is a few jokes that even got me to chuckle a bit. Later on, I noticed another minor detail that had been changed; the layout of The Burrow [or the Weasley home] was changed and appeared to bee taller and had more of a lean to the structure. [Which contributed to the way it had been originally intended to look]
After the journey to Hogwarts everything seemed great, funny jokes, great costumes, and everything followed the book[which wasn't a big deal to me I just like pointing things out xD].
The newest addition to the Hogwarts staff, Horace Slughorn, was as great as he was in the book. Ron was of course...well Ron. Hermione was a bit more 'I love Ron and dangit I want him to notice me.' Harry was like, 'Man, I am the chosen one..wow, Ginny is hot.' so nothings really changed. [Lol]
So, the movie floats along yadayadayada and Harry gets that old ratty potions book that belonged to The Half-Blood Prince , yadayadayada and Ron makes Keeper for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and is being stalked by Lavendar Brown. [Lol stupid blonde]
Skipping to Christmas now and Lupin is having a yelling fit with Harry over what he heard Snape and Draco talking about [Yet, Lupin failed to tell Harry that Finir Greyback was the werewolve that bit him like he did in the book, which in the long run will cause confussion] and then Lupin storms off. After talking to Mr.Weasley Harry begins to go inside when Deatheaters appear out of the sky[this entire scene wasn't in the book] and of course Bellatrix starts bragging about how she killed Sirus Black so Harry goes chasing after her, and like a moron Ginny goes following after. Lupin, Tonks, and Aruther run after the three and show up just in time to help Ginny and Harry fight off some Deatheaters who in revenge set fire to the Weasley's home.
The rest of the movie follows suit with the book so skipping about 45 minutes later to when Dumbledore and Harry are off to find a horcrux. It was put together great and I thought that this scene was the best out of the movie because it was exactually like I had imagined in the book. So the rest of the scenes were great intill it came time for Draco to kill Dumbledore, that scene equaled EPIC FAIL.
Snape ends up going through with the deed and Alan Rickman has NO emotion what so ever with killing him; funny to watch. So, Hermione tells Harry that her and Ron would like to accompany him on his search for the remaining five horcurxes and then credits. No funeral for Dumbledore, though like I said it is rumored that it will be the first scene of the first part of the Deathly Hollows which is to be released in November of 2010.
Overall, I'd give the movie three and a half stars out of five. The story was good for one who didn't hope to see certain things from the book that weren't included yet it lacked a few things that I felt needed to be there. But go see it if you want to see a good action movie. C:

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Movie Rumors [WARNING- SPOILERS]

Thank the Movie God for the blessing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 's release...but will the fans like the movie as much as the rest? There has been many many rumors of changes being made in the story of our beloved famous wizard, the question is no longer "How is the quality of the film and the story?" but is "Will the devoted fans approve of the changes?" it is still too early to tell if the diehard fans will be as forgiving after the release date has been changed [the film was originally scheduled to be released November 18th 2008] and these unexpected story changed.

So, recently I've been reading reviews for the up coming sixth out of the eight Harry Potter movies which is to be released this Wenesday [Hurrah for the Potterites like me C:]. In most of the reviews for the movie it says things like "The ending will be entirely different then the book. Dumbledores funeral will not be in the movie." So to my understanding....Dumbledore's funeral isn't there? WTFH!? From what I've read, Dumbledore's funeral is to be at the beginning of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part I, but it is for now just a rumor.

Other things I've read ranged from "Some fretted the budding romance of Hermione and Ron and between Harry and Ginny might seemed forced and not have the chemistry it had in the book." and "David Yates, director, claims that the ending of the movie had to be changed from the book to fit the mood of the movie." :/ I don't like the sounds of that too much. But, maybe this Yates guy is right....or he may have screwe up the rest of the story completely.
Forgive my constructive critisim and saying so in my own opinion, he has changed many things in the last two of the movies he directed and I really hope these last 3 will make up for it...let's really hope so.

I guess I will find out in a short while if any of this is fact and will be posting a movie review first thing tomorrow. Stay tuned to hear it from a diehard Potterite like myself.

I saw Jupiter and the Moon! -happy dance- Plus the spotting of a constellation.

SUCCESS!
I have finally seen Jupiter! I feel so accomplished I've always wanted to see Jupiter. I got so lucky to watch the news on July 11th [instead of Harry Potter for a change]. So around..oh lets say...nine thirtyish? I went out side and sat in the middle of the street [not joking when I say that.] with my binoculars and watched the sky intill Jupiter was just to the right of the moon. It was a beautiful sight to see even in it did look just like a star. C:
I am still very estatic about my first sighting of Jupiter though I am very sure that I have seen it before without knowing as well as the night time smile [Venus, Jupiter and the Moon] back in April. Sadly that combination of planets and the moon will not be seen again intill 2052...I hope I am still living to see the sight once more, but that time I will know what I am looking at XD.
Oh and on an up note I have spotted Draco, one of the ten constellations visible in July. It is made of thirteen stars and a lovely sight to see, once I find the USB cord for my camera...I will upload the pictures. [for you Mary! xD] I promise! Intill another spotting, Shae out!

My Final Goodbye to Michael Jackson. <3

Thank You Michael.
for the music that I sing
for the dances I dance
for the styles that I wear
for the charity you've brought to the world
for changing everyone's view
for making my day when i was sad

You were my Idol;
my favorite dancer.
My inspiration;
one of my heroes
You were always there;
even when you weren't
The music never died.
The clothes you wore were always unique;
your own sense of style
All of your performances always thrilled everyone
Even on trial you still dazzled;
Even when you went to court in you PJ's
Your kids were so lucky to have a father like you
Your family was lucky to have such a loving man like you
All of your music will live on in your fans;
but there will never be another one like you
I wish I could have met you; tell you this in person
It was on my list of things to do before I turned 21 to meet you
But I have not been able to achieve that
If you are watching down from the sky then you see how much you are missed;
you see how much you are loved
how you will never be forgotten
I know it is wrong that this had happened the way it did
I know that it is wrong that people who never liked your music won't even give you respect now
I am not one of those people
I am not someone who knew you personaly;
i do not care;
I am just a fan who loved everyhing you did
I will never be the same; knowing you are gone
But I may be able to find comfort in your music;
and knowing that you are watching from above.
So this is my final goodbye;
to you the King of Pop
You will always be missed but never forgotten
Thank you for everything
Michael Jackson

Camping Trip and the Gettysburg Reenactment

Oh my Spock.
Boy am I glad that camping trip is over.
You see over the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of July I stayed in a tent in Codorus State Park in Hanover Pennyslvania. It was pretty fun. My Uncle and my brother and I all got in a motor boat to go fishing. My brother sat at the front, I sat in the middle, and my Uncle sat in the back to steer. I claimed the post of captain and told my uncle he could be my commanding officer. We went around the lake and stopped to fish for at least an hour...we didn't catch anything but my brother tried to go on a mutiny...which resulted on him falling into the lake. It was great. He deserved it so much though. XD Anyways the next day we went down to the pool area and hung out there for about an hour before going back up to the campsite and eating lunch. My stupid brother started to piss us off so my uncle and I went into a grassy clearing and played with a frisbee. We played fpr a while then went back to the pool for a few hours then night fishing. When night fishing I caught a craw fish and named it Phil. We continued to watch fireworks. The next day it was time to pack up. After taking everything down we drove into Gettysburg.

Each night we were camping we drove down to Gettysburg to watch the reenactment. Ah, what isn't there to love about Gettysburg? Good food, great history, and people walking around in clothes of the 1800's. C:
Anywho, we watched all 3 days of the battle. People shot each other and what not. So great. Well the second day we were there we went into a resturaunt and all of the waitresses wore bustle dresses and talked as if we were in the time of the war. Some told us about the battle and some talked about the whole war. We went to one store that was confederate supporters and some who weren't. All in all my Fourth of July was great fun. :]

NOT BILLY MAYS!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
EVERY PERSON I'VE EVER LOVED IS DYING! FIRST ED MCMAHON, THEN FARRAH FASSETTE, THIRD MICHEAL JACKSON AND NOW BILLY MAYS!? My God what's going on? Is there some celebrity plague that the rest of the world is vunerable to? I just can't believe it. If one more person dies this month I'll go insane. But for now lets remember all the great momemets with this great sales pitcher. The first time I remember seeing him was on Oxy Clean commercials when I was around five or six, then Kaboom, and that putty stuff [i forgot what it was called] and the last thing I can recall seeing him on was that hamburger sliders commercial. And those are just the ones I can remember. But now I see any of those commericials I will always be a bit sad and will regonize the huge void it has left in my heart. There will never be a better sales person than him....ever...in the whole universe. :D

Stars and Constellations :3

Before I left Las Vegas, Mart gave me a pocket guide of constellations. :] I've been reading it diligently. Everynight, I go out with my telescope [that I made my mom buy for me to make up for the past 3 birthdays of mine she forgot ] and I try to find certain constellations. In June there are about five that are visable. The only onces I've been able to find though has been: Ursa Minor and Lupus. I am still looking for: Libra, Circinus, and Bootes. No luck so far. D:
No matter if I don't find them theres always next June and I have all of July to find thos constellations. Theres a total of ten constellations that are visable in July. I will try my best to find them but no garuntees since a lot of the stars look the same. XD Theres my terrible sense of humor shining its way through my thoughts. Anyways in July I plan on going to the Pocono Moutains in hopes that the altitude will make the stars more visable. The main one I would like to find in July is Draco,its made up of thirteen stars. I am looking forward to it. As well as my camping trip with my brother [the camping part not the brother part. ahaha] But who knows it may be fun. I am a bit dissapointed though because I will never be able to see the other month's constellations because of all the smog in Las Vegas and the lights...its impossible to see any stars. D: I am so sad for that. Its very rare to see stars in Las Vegas...now that I think about it I don't recall seeing many stars at all within the 8 years I've lived in Las Vegas. :/ Oh well thats fine when I get out of high school I'll just move to a place where I can see the stars at night...maybe England where I've always want to live. Planty of country sides there to admire. :']yes a happy tear.

Trippiest Dream EVER

Okay, maybe it's just me but last night I had a REALLY trippy dream it was like i was in las vegas[which was floating in a giant dome in the middle of space @_@] with my dads girlfriend, her daughter, and my grandmother. We were in a shopping mall [not like las vegas doesnt have enough of those] and there were disney characters there taking pictures with kids to raise money for the ronald mcdonald house or something so my dads girlfriend's daughter and my grandma go up there to take pictures. They get done and we take the picture ticket and continue looking through the department stores. My dads gf made a comment on how light weight the shelves were and I said it was most likely due to the artificial gravity. So we keep on walking and we pass a bunch of stores and those cars that are on display when we ran into my friend Dezzy and her dad. We all decided to stop and get some lunch together.[the trippy parts coming] so we sit down and we all start eating some wierd food ive never seen before and i was like staring off into space [literally] i was looking at the sun which for some reason was turning green and then blue in sorta like a cloud. I don't know why i said this but i said "the sun's exploding"[i don't even think it will happen but...im open for most things] and then like it burst into a gaint cloud and the glass on the dome shattered and people burst into flames and screamed. Except Dezzy and I and i kept thinking "im gonna die im gonna die" but i didnt and there wasnt a lack of oxygen either...which i dont understand. So there we are just sorta floating around in space as the sun just sorta turned into a black hole which ate Earth and the moon and mercury,and venus. Suprisingly the rest of the planets where okay and we were like trying to get to Mars so we werent just floatin around. But my dads stupid gf said "Why don't we just go to Jupiter, it looks closer" and i stared at her and said, "whats the logic in that? its a gas planet we'll fall through and incinerate" and so we went to mars. On mars rick astley was there dancin it up and there were green women in yellow bikinis and there was like disco lights and stuff. and so i was dancing with a purple woman and a green woman in yellow and blue bikinis [which was wierd cause uh im a girl]. and then rick astley dissapeared into the rock cliff....and I woke up. Talk about wierd. I don't know where this came from XD

Rest In Peace. Michael Jackson

Rest in Peace.
Michael Jackson
August 29, 1958- June 25, 2009
I can't believe it. He died today. Its so terrible. I know everyone dies and its the circle of life but, I always thought he would die later in life. He lived a great life and had many great success's and was loved by many.
The fire department responded to a call to the pop star's home at 12:26 p.m. Michael was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and took him to the hospital. Later that afternoon at 2:46 p.m. Michael was in a coma and his family was at his bedside. Thirty minutes later at 3:15 p.m. Jackson was pronounced dead by his doctors.
-SIGH- I guess all great things come to an end. May we all remember him for the good he's done...not the rest of what he's done.
P.S- My friend Madison wants the world to know she feels the family's pain and also misses him deeply.

Uh.....My Uncle

<- LOL XDDDDDDDD
Hes an insane man. Yesterday, he thought it'd be a fun time to wear a pirate
costume and drink all the white rum in the cellar. -._________-. Please. spare me. Then, he proceeded to go out back and jump on the trampoline while singing "The Pirates Life For Me". My rabbit, Chico, was sitting out in his pen and then my Uncle goes and picks him up and starts hugging it to death. O_O poor Chico. Oh well though. He'll survive.

On another note my neighbors here, Nelly, George,and their son Tobias, are over here. They are really nice people. Nelly makes the BEST pot pies EVER. 'Nuff said. Any ways, next week my Grandma Jen, is coming up from Virgina and then we're gonna hang out and stuff. Then July 1,2,3,and 4th I'll be out camping. Whoopdeedo.

There is nothing on my TV right now. Full House is terribly boring and Enterprise won't be on intill 5:00 pm...its 3:21pm. D: I hate this.

Goodbye Smog, Hello Walking Fossils.

Ugh, I'm finaly outta Vegas. I mean sure I'll miss my friends and all but thats a small price to pay to escape the heat. Its okay in Vegas if you have a pool [which I do]. But I enjoy staying up East where you don't have to be in the water 24/7 to be cool. On a plus side though theres not old family members in Las Vegas, oh well.

Ahhh, beautiful, lovely, wet, Pennsylvania. This is a picture of a small creek in the town I live in in Pennsylvania. There are normally a buch of ducks and fish there just chilling and you can buy food there to feed the ducks there. The one thing I don't like about coming here is all of my siblings.....uggggggggggggggggggh so many of them! I don't even know all of their birtdays. XD I know how bad that sounds. Either way it doesnt matter, luckily Im only here intill August 12th. Intill then I can deal with it.

The Only Reasons I Watch Television

I normally don't watch much television, I perfer the comfort of a good book instead. However, when I do decide to watch television I have a few select shows I will watch. Most people ask me why I watch these shows...so to sooth their curiosity I'm gonna tell the whole darn internet why I love these shows.

Star Trek: Enterprise
Ohmigod, I love this show. I think, I love this show more then the origina Star Trek. The graphics are great! And I love all the character....except the captain...hes retarded. But everyone else is cool. Ecspecialy T' Pol. She's my favorite character. :] Shes so pretty and she kicks butt. Hurray for Suus Mahna. XD But, like most of the shows I watch you don't have to see every episode to understand it...which is very good for people who don't have time to sit down and watch it everytime its on

Star Trek: The Original Series

I know how underappriciated this show is...but no matter I love it anyways. When I was little...about 3-8 years of age, I lived without cable. So, I had three options for entertainment: The News, Infomercials, and Star Trek. Guess which one won. Ahahah. But anywho, I still watch this old television show with cardboard props anytime I see it on. It provides a few good laugh.

House MD

Ah, who couldn't love this show? Sarcasim, drugs, and racism. Ahaha... that sounds so terrible but thats whats in this show. XD Well, I think the main reason I love this show so much is because the way the characters are protrayed. Hugh Laurie and Robert Sean Leonard share a bromance almost as touching as the one William Shatner and Leonard Nimmoy shared in Star Trek. The script of this show is perfectly written to draw everything in it together for one story to take place. Its one of those shows where you don't have to see every episode to not understand whats going on, which is good.

Heroes

This show is so great. However, unlike the other shows I watch this does require you to watch it from the beginning to understand it. If you miss one episode...you're screwed. Ahahaha. Well anyways, I like this show because it always makes me wonder if anything like that is possible. I know its silly but its always just fun to wonder. People with abilities are the topic of a lot of sci-fi shows and comic books. This sorta reminds me of X-Men.

Jon and Kate Plus Eight

DONT SHOOT ME! -hides-

Nah, Im just joking. But I do like this show. I know all of America right now is in the midst of hating these people but i love watching their show. It is just amazing to see how they put up with all these kids! I wouldv'e killed them by now @_@. theres a lot of fighting between the parents but its still fun to watch them fight! Ahahahahahah. I know I'm horrible.

Ace of Cakes

This show rocks. I have never seen any cakes as cool as these. They make the most amazing cakes I have ever seen in my entire life. If I ever had any of the talent these bakers had I'd be so accomplished. They made cakes for normal parties, movie premiers, and even Kate Gosselin's birthday. Duff is freakin awesome and Mary-Alice is so clever with her designs. If you ever see this on, take a moment to look at their cakes.

Parents...

How many times have people heard this phrase?
"I hate my parents." In my case however, it would be entirely false to say such a thing. Sure they think I'm insane, I say I'm only insane if you can't see my level...which they don't. The things they don't notice about me, are usualy the things I normally do for that exact reason. But, the thing with today's parents is that they're still stuck in yesterday. They are jammin out to Frank Sinatra and Cher, when we're jammin' out to Rhianna and Panic at the Disco. We all must remember that they just don't understand any more. My parents are nurses and because of that don't go for anything....at all. In fact we get along just fine...excluding the part where they tease me about everything. Though, I don't see where my dad has any room to talk we are both probably the nerdiest people on Earth. We could just play video games and watch Star Trek all day....not even joking. He makes fun of me so often I think he doesn't even realize how alike we are and that he's practicaly making fun of himself.
Perhaps the reason many teens hate their parents, is because they do enough family things together. Every Monday, we all watch 'House M.d' and 'Heroes' together. We all get a good deal of entertainment out of the shows. Sure it's only one day out of the week but it sure makes a big difference and through out the week we eat dinner together every night. Even though we are only spending 2-3 hours together every day just hanging out we all are happy with each other and I never feel a distance between us. Every month we go see a movie together [and we always debate on what to see, my dads gf wants to see a chick flick and my dad and I want to see a action movie, we get lucky when movies like 'Star Trek' comes out. ahaha] But anyways, I love hanging with my parents and heres a few ways to advoid the hated outburts:
  • if they say jump, you say "how high?"
  • if they think youre autistic? just say "well you have an attitude problem" [sure its a bit iffy but its fun to say XD]
  • pick a movie night! its fun and everyone enjoys it
  • find a show you all like and watch it together
  • see if your parents like any video games and break out tetris it never gets old
  • if your parents want you to do something...just do it, it saves time
  • and pretty much, stay on their good sides

These things are just what I use to stay on their good side...maybe they'll work for you all too.

[Insert Title Here]

So, my first blog post on here, how....exhilirating. :]
Well, anyways I am all new to this and know just few things on the blogging universe, oh well!
I am currently watching Spongebob, I never really to a fond liking to this program, or any cartoons for the matter. I always prefered simple shows like, 'House' and 'Heroes'. But as a smaller child the cartoons I enjoyed were still to a limited amount. I watched 'Batman' and 'Rugrats' ahahaha.
I don't know exactly what to write about in here....and I guess I can write whatever senseless garbage finds its way into my thoughts. Oh well!
I was at the store today, and there was a heavy set man sitting next to me with the most excruciating body odor, I sware he could've killed a skunk with his stench. Anyways, I was buying the last of the 'Star Trek' action figures I needed to have all 16 of them ,Ahahahahah, and this dude starting talking to me! I was trying to be polite and not offend him or look grossed out so I acted like I didn't speak English! Oh my Spock, it was great. He looked so freaked out and I survived! [I thought he was gonna eat me whole]
